Love Kome: We Love Rice

The story personifies rice (called "kome" in Japanese) as high school boys. At Kokuritsu Inaho Academy-a clever pun on national schools, meaning "Rice Ear Academy"-five new students, each inspired by different types of rice, try to dethrone bread as the school’s favorite grain. They form the "Love Rice" group and aim to prove rice’s delicious versatility by performing at the "Harvest Show." This lighthearted comedy blends humor and enthusiasm, offering a fresh appreciation for rice, often called "Japan’s soul food."
