Locke the Superman

A quiet, lonely immortal esper known as "Locke the Superman," though he often rejects the title. No one knows when or where he was born, and if asked, Locke claims not to remember-though this may well be true. When questioned by Cornelia Prim in "Millennium of the Witch" about his origins, he simply replied, "Toa." Throughout galactic history, Locke has appeared at key moments, sometimes shaping events directly, other times watching from the shadows. His esper abilities let him learn and act far faster than any ordinary human. They also grant him eternal youth-or even the ability to revert to childhood, allowing him to be taken in by caring families. Some suspect he stays young to avoid responsibility, since no one expects a child to bear the weight of the causes people try to recruit him for.
