"A believing heart is your magic!" These words from Akko Kagari's idol, the famous witch Shiny Chariot, stuck with her ever since she saw Chariot's magic show as a child. Inspired by those words, Akko dreams of becoming a witch who can bring joy to others, just like Chariot. Despite having no magical heritage, she doesn't let that stop her from enrolling at Luna Nova Magical Academy. But getting to school isn't easy. After a dangerous journey, Akko befriends the timid Lotte Yansson and the sharp-tongued Sucy Manbavaran. To her excitement, she even finds Chariot's wand, the Shiny Rod, and claims it as her own. Yet life at Luna Nova turns out to be far harder than Akko expected. She refuses to fall behind her classmates, especially Diana Cavendish, her proud and talented rival, so she pushes herself to make up for her reckless nature and shaky magic skills. In an age where magic is fading, "Little Witch Academia" follows Akko and her friends as they discover what it truly means to be a witch.
