Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan

In the studio of the morning kids' show "Together with Mama," a team of worn-out adults puts on their best fake smiles and cheerful personas to entertain and teach a group of naive preschoolers. At the center is Uramichi Omota, a former gymnast who can't resist shattering the kids' illusions by bluntly pointing out the grim truths of adult life-even while the cameras are rolling. Off-camera, Uramichi's attempts at peace are constantly interrupted by his two irritating juniors, who play the show's rabbit and bear mascots and singers: Utano Tadano, a woman obsessed with finding a husband, and Iketeru Daga, a good-looking guy with a crude sense of humor. Whether it's smoking, working out, or his occasional bleak rants, Uramichi-the group's reluctant big brother-always finds a way to weave his cynicism into life lessons, no matter how morally questionable they may be.
