Lensman

Kim lives a quiet life with his father, farming on their remote planet. One day, a runaway spaceship hurtles toward their farm at dangerous speeds. To save his father, Kim boards the ship and lands it just before it crashes. Inside, he finds a lone survivor, badly injured. With his final words, the man begs Kim to deliver something to the Galactic Fleet and transfers a strange object from his arm to Kim’s-a Lens, an artifact that should have been impossible to pass on. Now a Lensman, Kim gains unknown abilities, but the Lens also holds crucial information that could help the Galactic Fleet defeat the evil Boskone Empire. With the spaceship Britannia, Kim sets out to deliver the Lens to the fleet. But Lord Helmet, a ruthless leader of the Boskone Empire, will stop at nothing to prevent him from succeeding.
