KUROKAMI The Animation - S01

High school student Ibuki Keita has lived under a curse of bad luck his entire life. Without explanation, people close to him keep meeting tragic ends. To protect others, he distances himself from everyone-even his childhood friend Akane-leaving him isolated in a lonely, painful existence. One night, while eating at his usual ramen shop, Keita encounters a peculiar girl named Kuro. She claims to be a "Mototsumitama," a being with powers beyond ordinary humans. Kuro tells him about "Terra," a life force divided among three lookalikes worldwide-a phenomenon called the "Doppeliner System." As a Mototsumitama, her role is to guard the "Coexistence Equilibrium," entities that regulate Terra’s flow. Keita dismisses her story as nonsense-until he’s dragged into the hidden conflict surrounding these forces. Facing death, he unknowingly forms a contract with Kuro, binding them together. Now, he must stay by her side at all times. With his luck already in ruins, how much worse can things get?
