King of Thorn

A deadly virus called Medousa spreads across the world, turning people to stone with no cure in sight, pushing humanity to the brink of extinction. As a last resort, the Venus Gate Corporation selects 160 individuals to be placed in cryogenic sleep for a century-or until a treatment is found. Kasumi Ishiki is chosen, and though she dreads leaving her twin sister, Shizuku, behind, the two cling to the hope of reuniting someday. But when Kasumi wakes, the world is nothing like she imagined. The cryo facility is overgrown with thorns, and monstrous creatures attack the survivors. Most perish in the chaos, but Kasumi and a handful of others manage to stay alive. As they navigate the labyrinthine facility, they uncover the dark truths behind Medousa and the real motives of the Venus Gate Corporation.
