Earth, sometime in the 21st century. After relentless environmental destruction, the United Nations hires a private company called "Eternal Earth" to build an artificial jungle-a nature preserve designed to protect wildlife. All wild animals are relocated to this new habitat. Life in the "neo-jungle" is easy for its animal inhabitants. Leo, the son of Panja, grows up in this artificial world. Sheltered by its unrealistic environment, he lives without worry. But the other animals mock him, calling him a coward-unlike his father, the legendary Jungle Emperor. Still, Leo swears that one day he’ll prove himself. Kenichi, the son of Eternal Earth’s CEO, firmly believes in the neo-jungle’s success. The story begins when Leo and Kenichi cross paths. Kenichi has a rare gift: he can understand the language of animals.
