Inuyashiki

Ichirou Inuyashiki is a 58-year-old man struggling with loneliness and constant back pain. His wife and children barely acknowledge him, leaving him feeling unwanted. The only comfort in his life is Hanako, a stray Shiba Inu he takes in. Then, a doctor delivers crushing news-he has stomach cancer and just months to live. When his family reacts with cold indifference, Ichirou breaks down and flees to a nearby field, clinging to his dog in despair. But his sorrow is interrupted by the appearance of a mysterious figure. A blinding flash engulfs him, and when the dust clears, Ichirou realizes he's no longer human. His body has been replaced with a mechanical weapon, though it still resembles his old self. Despite the shock, his kind nature leads him to use his new abilities to save someone, filling him with unexpected joy and purpose. Yet the truth behind his transformation remains a mystery. Who was the stranger in the field? And will they wield their power as selflessly as Ichirou does?
