In June 1863, a man with no memory is taken to the Mibu Roushigumi headquarters in Kyoto. Adopted by vice-commander Souji Okita, he is named Jinsuke Tachikawa and starts a new life within the group. As the Mibu Roushigumi-later called the Shinsengumi-rises to prominence during the chaos of the late Edo period, Jinsuke and his comrades find themselves caught in the era’s turbulent conflicts. When Jinsuke finally recovers his lost memories, his world is irrevocably altered.
