Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway

One Sunday morning, Yoshida-an ordinary office worker-wakes up with a hangover after a long night of drinking. To his surprise, he finds a high school girl he doesn’t know living in his small apartment. The night before, Yoshida had finally worked up the nerve to confess his feelings to his boss and longtime crush, Airi Gotou, but she turned him down. Heartbroken, he drank his woes away at a bar with his friend Hashimoto before stumbling home. On the way, he crossed paths with Sayu Ogiwara, a runaway high school student, who begged him for a place to stay. Too drunk to think clearly, he agreed. Now sober and with no memory of the night’s events, Yoshida makes Sayu explain how she ended up in his apartment. After hearing her story-including the fact that she traveled all the way from Hokkaido-he can’t bring himself to turn her out. Despite his unease about letting an underage girl stay with him, he reluctantly allows it, and their unlikely life together starts.
