.hack//G.U. Trilogy

Based on the CyberConnect2 game, this CG movie takes place within the story of the ".hack//G.U." trilogy. It follows Haseo, a player in the MMORPG "The World:R2," who was once known as the "Terror of Death" for his role as a Player Killer Killer (PKK) and as a former member of the disbanded Twilight Brigade guild. After encountering Azure Kite-mistaking him for Tri-Edge and blaming him for Shino’s fate-Haseo is utterly defeated. Azure Kite overwhelms him and uses Data Drain, stripping Haseo of his level (dropping him from 133 to 1),his gear, and even his contacts. Left powerless, Haseo now faces the mystery of Data Drain and how Azure Kite possesses such an ability. Later, Haseo gains the "Avatar" of Skeith, allowing him to summon and wield its powers, including Data Drain. With this newfound strength, he sets out on a quest to save Shino. His search leads him to Tri-Edge, a Player Killer (PK) whose victims never return to "The World." Six months before the game’s events, Tri-Edge attacked Haseo’s friend Shino, leaving her in a coma-and now Haseo is determined to uncover the truth.
