Gun x Sword - S01

Van, a tall and indifferent swordsman, is searching for the man who killed his fiancé. The only clue he has is that the murderer has a claw for an arm, earning him the name "The Claw Man." While traveling, Van stops in the city of Evergreen, which is under siege by bandits trying to loot its treasury. There, he meets Wendy Garret, a shy girl searching for her kidnapped brother. When the city begs for Van's help to fight the bandits, he refuses, saying it's not his problem, and leaves them to fend for themselves. Later, Van crosses paths with the bandits himself, and their actions push him enough to take revenge for his own reasons. To his surprise, he discovers the bandits are connected to The Claw Man and had kidnapped Wendy's brother for undisclosed purposes. After easily defeating the bandits, Van reluctantly lets Wendy join him as they resume their hunt for The Claw Man. Unbeknownst to them, The Claw Man is involved in something far more sinister than either could imagine.
