Mao Onigawara is an energetic eight-year-old girl and the granddaughter of the Ground Defense Force’s Chief of Staff. With her cloverleaf-shaped badge-which lets her transform but doesn’t grant any actual powers-she teams up with her best friends (the granddaughters of the Air and Marine Defense Force chiefs) to protect Japan from an invasion of "cute aliens." These creatures are so adorable that the usual military forces just can’t handle them.
