Giant Beasts of ARS

In the world of Ars, humanity has waged a war for decades against massive beasts that devour the land’s resources. The warriors known as Paladins fight these creatures using the devastating magic of Clerics-individuals cursed with uncontrollable power. Jiiro, a former Paladin grieving his fallen war partner, meets Kuumi, a young woman who has just awakened her own magical abilities. When they form a contract to defend their city from a rampaging beast, Jiiro learns Kuumi is a fugitive, hunted by the minions of Mezami, the head of a sinister research facility. Though hesitant, Jiiro agrees to help Kuumi escape, and they set off together with her friend Myaa, a girl wearing a cat-like headdress. As they journey across Ars, powerful figures begin enacting their hidden schemes-and soon, the trio realizes that humans may be far more dangerous than the monsters they fight.
