Women's soccer in Japan has been losing popularity over the years, but a few schools still maintain teams, keeping the sport alive and offering faint signs of hope. Nozomi Onda, who played in a boys' soccer club during middle school, is a remarkably skilled player. She believes playing with girls would only hold her back, so she only gives her best when facing opponents she respects. On the other hand, Sumire Suou is a talented rookie whose potential is limited by a team that can't match her abilities. When Onda's former coach convinces her to join a girls' soccer club, she and Suou-who arrives with her close friend and rival, Midori Soshizaki-end up as teammates at Warabi Seinan High School. On this new stage, both girls start to unlock their true potential. Every pass, kick, and goal brings them closer to victory-and maybe even helps revive the fading sport.
