The Divine Gate is an old legend told to children, describing a place where the living world, the heavens, and the underworld once merged. Those born with special elemental powers-called "Adapters"-are said to have inherited their abilities from this ancient union. The World Council, an organization run by Adapters, maintains order by passing off the legend as mere myth. They oversee a training academy where young Adapters learn to control their powers. Aoto, a teenager with powerful water abilities and a painful past, refuses the academy's invitations-until the persistent wind user Midori and fiery, headstrong Akane finally convince him to join. Under the guidance of the World Council and its enigmatic leader, Arthur, the trio sets out to find the Gate and uncover its secrets. But to succeed, they must confront their own doubts, learn to trust one another, and navigate the hidden schemes working against them.
