Detroit Metal City

Detroit Metal City (DMC) is a famous indie death metal band known for its over-the-top, aggressive style. Their frontman, Johannes Krauser II, is portrayed as a demonic figure who crawled out of hell to dominate humanity-or at least, that’s the image the band sells. In reality, Krauser II is just the stage persona of Souichi Negishi, a mild-mannered college graduate who prefers gentle Swedish pop over heavy metal. Forced to perform in DMC’s outrageous shows to pay the bills, Negishi struggles to balance his secret double life. The story follows his awkward attempts to navigate the chaos of the band, his shy romantic pursuits, and the relentless devotion of DMC’s fanbase.
