Detective Conan: Crossroad in the Ancient Capital

A masked samurai kills five men under the cover of night-three in Tokyo, one in Osaka, and the last in Kyoto. The police investigation reveals the victims were all members of the "Genjibotaru," a gang of thieves specializing in stolen Buddhist statues and artifacts, each named after the servants of Minomoto no Yoshitune. With no clear motive or leads on the remaining gang members, the case stalls-until a Kyoto temple contacts the famous detective Kogorou Mouri. They’ve received an anonymous letter with a strange puzzle, hoping he can help solve it and recover their missing statue. Meanwhile, Conan Edogawa teams up with high school detective Heiji Hattori to crack the puzzle and track down the killer, while Hattori searches for his childhood love. Using Hattori’s familiarity with Kyoto, the two comb the streets, slowly piecing together the truth. But before they can act, the murderer strikes again, killing another Genjibotaru member. When repeated attempts are made on Hattori’s life, his childhood sweetheart is kidnapped. To stop the samurai’s rampage and save Hattori’s love, Conan and Hattori must work together to uncover long-buried clues.
