Deltora Quest

Long ago, the blacksmith Adin crafted a belt embedded with seven powerful gems, each representing one of Deltora’s seven tribes. With the belt’s unmatched strength, he drove back the Shadow Lord’s invasion and saved the kingdom. Adin became Deltora’s king, but he knew the enemy had not been truly defeated. Generations later, the Shadow Lord’s threat has faded into legend, and the people of Deltora view their monarchy as distant and indifferent. To their horror, the Shadow Lord attacks again, shattering the Belt of Deltora and scattering its gems across the land. Jarred, a loyal friend of the young King Endon, helps the king and his queen flee the castle as the Shadow Lord seizes control. They separate, vanishing into hiding. Under the Shadow Lord’s cruel rule, Deltora suffers for years. But hope remains with Jarred’s son, Lief, whom he has raised and trained to recover the lost gems and restore the Belt of Deltora. With his allies Barda and Jasmine, Lief must confront cunning foes and deadly creatures to overthrow the Shadow Lord and bring peace back to the land.
