Cyberpunk: Edgerunners - S01

In Night City, a futuristic California metropolis, dreams are fragile and rarely survive. David Martinez, a teenager living in the slums, is determined to honor his mother's wish-to climb the ranks of Arasaka, the world's most powerful security corporation. He studies at the elite Arasaka Academy while his mother struggles to support them. After a violent encounter with a street gang upends David's life, he discovers the Sandevistan, a cyberware implant that grants incredible speed. Consumed by anger, he installs it in his spine and uses it to take revenge, an act that gets him expelled from the academy and dashes his mother's hopes for his future. Lucyna "Lucy" Kushinada, a skilled data thief, notices David's abilities and recruits him, offering a way out. But aligning with Lucy pulls him into the dangerous world of Edgerunners-cyber-enhanced outlaws who will do anything for cash. The life is brutal; most Edgerunners die young, either from the job or the cyberware corroding their sanity. Yet in a city built on corruption, David is willing to gamble everything just to survive.
