Coppelion - S01

On the surface, Ibara Naruse and her friends Aoi Fukasaku and Taeko Nomura seem like ordinary, lighthearted high schoolers. But the streets they walk, their path, and the world around them are far from typical. With every step, the three venture further into a desolate, uninhabitable version of Tokyo-a city ruined by a nuclear disaster two decades ago. As members of the Dispatch 3rd Special Force Coppelion, also called the Health Care team, Ibara, Aoi, and Taeko search the eerie, silent ruins for survivors under the support of the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and Colonel Onihei Mishima. Their daily routine involves locating the last remaining humans and arranging their evacuation via JGSDF helicopters. Yet as their mission continues, Ibara and her friends begin to wonder about their own nature-specifically, how they can survive in Tokyo’s toxic environment without any protective equipment.
