After the Holy Britannian Empire collapsed following the presumed death of its 99th emperor, the regions under its control gained independence. While most joined the United Federation of Nations-an organization striving for lasting peace-remnants of the old regime still linger. One of these factions, Neo-Britannia, seized control of Japan’s Hokkaido island after assassinating its governor, Juugo Sumeragi. The resistance group known as the Seven Shining Stars is struggling to overcome Neo-Britannia’s forces. With few options left, they turn to the Nameless Mercenaries: brothers Rozé, a brilliant tactician, and Ash, a skilled Knightmare pilot. Despite being Britannian themselves, the two have earned a reputation for defending the Japanese and targeting imperial officials. With their assistance, the resistance hopes to reclaim Hokkaido and stop Neo-Britannia from imposing another era of tyranny.
