Charlotte In The Young Grass

Charlotte is a twelve-year-old girl growing up on a farm in Canada. On her birthday, her father reveals a shocking truth-her mother, who Charlotte thought had died, is actually alive and living in Paris. Even more surprising, she’s about to come live with them. Charlotte struggles with this news at first, but just as she starts to accept it, her father suddenly passes away. Now, alone and uncertain, she must navigate life’s hardships. She learns her father came from a noble family, and her grandfather is determined to force her back into that world. To make matters worse, a greedy landowner is scheming to take her father’s farm away. With no connection to her mother and her life upended, Charlotte faces an overwhelming struggle.
