Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 - S01

After a massive earthquake leaves Tokyo in ruins, the city is quickly rebuilt thanks to humanoid robots called "boomers," which now serve as cheap labor. Genom Corporation, the company behind these machines, has grown so wealthy and influential that its reach now extends into space. But the boomers aren't as reliable as they seem. Some suffer sudden malfunctions, turning violent and attacking people, wreaking havoc across the city. To address the threat, Tokyo establishes the Advanced Police, a special unit dedicated to handling boomer-related incidents. Meanwhile, whispers circulate about another group-the Knight Sabers, a shadowy vigilante team operating outside the law. Determined to uncover the truth about the Knight Sabers, Linna Yamazaki arrives in Tokyo seeking her idols. There, she crosses paths with Priscilla Asagiri, a mysterious singer; Sylia Stingray, a poised businesswoman; and Nene Romanova, a lively young woman-each with their own reasons for joining the fight. As tensions rise, the group begins to suspect that the boomer crisis runs far deeper than anyone anticipated.
