Grade schooler Yuuta Tomonaga accidentally discovers Deckerd, a humanoid robot being developed by the Japanese police to combat high-tech crime. Through his frequent interactions with Deckerd, the robot develops a "heart"-a unique personality. When Yuuta is chosen to lead the "Brave Police" as its "boss," their bond grows into a genuine partnership between human and machine.
