A month passes with no word from him-until Yoshino is attacked by a strange girl pointing a gun at him. Mahiro reappears just in time to rescue him. Yoshino discovers that Mahiro has teamed up with Hakaze Kusaribe, a witch exiled to a remote island after being betrayed by her own clan.
