Black Bullet - S01

In 2021, a parasitic virus called "Gastrea" transforms infected humans into monsters. The remnants of humanity survive behind massive Monolith walls, constructed from Varanium-the only substance capable of harming Gastrea. To combat the Gastrea threat, the Tendo Civil Security employs "Cursed Children," young girls who carry traces of the virus, granting them enhanced abilities. Officially known as Initiators, they are paired with Promoters-guardians who train and protect them. Together, these teams are dispatched on missions to battle the Gastrea-spawned creatures and hold back the encroaching danger. "Black Bullet" follows the partnership between Enju Aihara, an Initiator, and Satomi Rentaro, her Promoter, as they undertake missions to defend their home city of Tokyo from the relentless Gastrea threat.
