Beyond the Boundary - S01

Mirai Kuriyama is the last remaining member of a clan of warriors from the Spirit World who can wield their own blood as weapons. Her duty is to hunt and destroy "youmu," creatures born from human negativity. One day, while lost in thought on her school's rooftop, she encounters Akihito Kanbara, a rare half-human, half-youmu hybrid. Startled, she attacks him with her blood saber, only to discover he’s immortal. Despite-or perhaps because of-her repeated attempts to kill him, the two form an odd friendship, with Mirai using these encounters to rebuild her shaky confidence as a warrior. Akihito eventually persuades her to join the Literary Club, where she meets Hiroomi and Mitsuki Nase, two other skilled Spirit World warriors. As the group grows closer, the youmu around them become more relentless. What began as lighthearted misadventures soon escalates into a desperate battle for survival as the emergence of the most dangerous youmu, Beyond the Boundary, draws near.
