BEM - S01

Detective Sonia Summers has been reassigned to the outskirts of the port city Libra after clashing with her superiors. Libra is divided into two distinct areas: "the Upper," a hub of wealth and power, and "the Outside," a district plagued by crime, corruption, and strange incidents tied to monstrous beings known as youkai. As Sonia investigates these cases, she finds evidence linking them to these enigmatic creatures. She encounters three unusual humanoid youkai-Bem, Bela, and Belo-who protect humans from the malevolent youkai that prey on them. Known as "Youkai-Ningen," they are shunned by other youkai for living like humans, and feared or harmed by humans whenever their true forms are revealed. Despite the struggles they endure, these three Youkai-Ningen quietly coexist with humans, holding onto their hope of someday becoming human themselves.
