Barakamon - S01

Seishuu Handa is a young, skilled calligrapher with a rising reputation-and an ego to match. But when a respected critic dismisses his award-winning work as "unoriginal," he snaps, leading to serious consequences. As punishment-and to help him reflect-his father sends him to the remote Goto Islands, far from his cushy Tokyo life. Stuck in the countryside, Seishuu hopes to discover fresh inspiration and forge his own artistic voice. That is, if the rowdy local kids (led by the mischievous Naru Kotoishi),fujoshi-obsessed teens, and lively old men would stop invading his space. What he expected to be a quiet retreat turns into constant chaos, thanks to his nosy but well-meaning neighbors. Against his will, the stubborn artist finds himself learning lessons he never saw coming.
