Bad Girl

Yuu Yuutani, a quiet and rule-following first-year high school student, has always lived under the radar-helping at home and staying out of trouble. She admires Atori Mizutori, an older student and the school’s Public Decency Officer, and longs for her attention. Believing the only way to get noticed is to act out, Yuu tries to reinvent herself as a delinquent: she dyes streaks of her hair red, clips fake piercings to her ears, and even modifies her shoes with bulky erasers to mimic thick soles. Despite her attempts-and even with tips from her naturally rebellious friend Suzu Suzukaze-Yuu’s schemes to act tough keep backfiring. Still, she manages to befriend Atori, promising to stick by her side, unaware that others are also competing for Atori’s favor. Along the way, Yuu catches the eye of Rura Ruriha, the school’s self-styled idol, suddenly finding herself in the spotlight-a place she never expected to be.
