Anne Shirley

Eleven-year-old orphan Anne Shirley has spent her life shuffled between families, never finding a real home. When she’s sent to live with the elderly Cuthbert siblings, Marilla and Matthew, at their Green Gables farm in Avonlea, it turns out to be a mix-up-they had asked for a boy to help with chores. Instead, they get Anne, a spirited girl with a wild imagination and a love for grand stories. Though unsure at first, the Cuthberts are slowly charmed by Anne’s wit, enthusiasm, and warmth. As she adjusts to life at Green Gables, Anne discovers the simple pleasures of school, friendship, and belonging, all while facing the ups and downs of childhood.
