Air: The Motion Picture

Long ago, Kanna, a winged princess and the last of her kind, was imprisoned in a castle because the world feared her. She fell in love with a soldier named Ryuuya and shared her dreams of seeing the outside world and finding her mother. Ryuuya tried to help her, but his efforts failed-Kanna was sealed in the sky by magic, cursed to suffer for eternity. Centuries later, Yukito, Ryuuya’s descendant, arrives in a quiet town just before its annual festival, hoping to earn some money. There, he meets a strange girl named Misuzu, who reminds him of his mother’s words: "If you ever meet the reincarnation of the winged girl on your journey, you must use your power to free her." As Yukito and Misuzu grow closer, their feelings for each other deepen. But when Yukito discovers Misuzu’s link to the past, he faces a choice-walk away or try to break the ancient curse that has trapped Kanna in endless suffering.
