Action Heroine Cheer Fruits - S01

Years ago, local heroines-costumed performers who represent towns and put on shows to boost their hometown's reputation-were all the rage. The most famous of them, "Kamidaio," is set to perform in the small town of Hinano, thrilling Mikan Kise's younger sister, Yuzu. But when Mikan takes Yuzu to the event, they discover it's been canceled. Determined not to disappoint her sister, Mikan vows to make sure Yuzu gets to see the show. In a pinch, she turns to her classmate An Akagi, a die-hard local heroine fan, for help. Mikan and An cobble together their own Kamidaio performance, wearing homemade costumes. The kids in the audience adore it, even though the production is rough around the edges. Misaki Shirogane, the student council president, films their show and posts it online to stir up interest. Coming from a political family, Misaki has made it her mission to revive Hinano's spirit. Inspired by their performance, she recruits Mikan and An to become the town's official local heroines. As they refine their act, they bring in a lively cast of helpers to make their shows even better.
