A Place Further than the Universe - S01

Mari Tamaki has always been fascinated by the vast world beyond her own, dreaming of what lies in the far reaches of the universe. But no matter how big her dreams, her fear of the unknown and doubts about her own abilities have kept her from pursuing them. Now in her second year of high school, she refuses to let her youth slip away-yet her hesitation still holds her back. That changes when she meets Shirase Kobuchizawa, a girl with an equally impossible dream. After her mother vanished, Shirase has been saving up for an expedition to Antarctica, determined to find her in a place "further than the universe." Though others mock her, her unwavering resolve inspires Mari to join her. Their mission catches the interest of Hinata Miyake, an outgoing girl looking to make her mark, and Yuzuki Shiraishi, a well-mannered girl from a wealthy family. With their shared determination, the four set off for the icy south, each chasing something extraordinary.
