A Hundred Scenes of AWAJIMA

This coming-of-age drama follows a group of young girls attending an all-girls musical school, weaving together their shared experiences while shifting between different perspectives and timelines. The story unfolds at Awajima Musical School Training Camp, nicknamed the "boarding house," where girls from across Japan come to pursue their dreams of performing on stage. Wakana Tabata dreams of becoming a musical star; Kinue Takehara, the housemaster, is there to fulfill her best friend's wishes; Emi Okabe, a beautiful scholarship student, constantly draws attention; and Katsurako Ibuki, a former actress from a theatrical family, now teaches at the school. The school serves as both a sanctuary and a competitive battleground for these aspiring performers. It’s a place where perseverance can nurture talent, but it also exposes them to harsh realities. Through clear storytelling and deep psychological insight, the series reveals the subtle emotions and struggles of each girl.
