Yukikaze

Thirty-three years ago, an alien race called the JAM appeared over Antarctica through a hyperspace passage, intent on invading Earth. After humanity repelled their initial attacks, the war shifted to the JAM’s homeworld, Fairy. Though most people on Earth have forgotten the conflict, the fighting still rages there, where the United Nations maintains five bases and a formidable military-including the elite Fairy Air Force (FAF). Lieutenant Rei Fukai serves in the FAF Special Air Force’s Boomerang squadron, piloting a Super Sylph fighter jet nicknamed "Yukikaze." His role is to observe aerial battles and gather intelligence on the JAM’s tactics. While Fukai is an exceptional pilot, he also depends on Yukikaze’s cutting-edge weapons and near-sentient AI. Despite his unmatched skills, Fukai is disliked by his fellow pilots for his cold, detached demeanor. He carries out his missions alone, with only Yukikaze as his partner. But during a brutal battle, he encounters something unsettling-a rogue aircraft identical to his own, behaving unpredictably and hostile.
