Sumikko Gurashi: The Pop-up Book and the Secret Child

Sumikko Gurashi first appeared in 2012 as a group of characters who are a little gloomy and prefer to hang out in the corners of rooms. The main characters are "Shirokuma," a polar bear who gets cold easily; "Penguin?," a penguin that isn’t entirely sure it’s really a penguin; "Tonkatsu," an uneaten piece of pork cutlet; "Neko," a timid cat; and "Tokage," who secretly hides the fact that he’s one of the last surviving dinosaurs. Over the years, the franchise has expanded into toys, books, stationery, video games-and now, a full-length movie.
