SANDA

In a future where children are rare and treated as Japan's most precious resource, Christmas has faded into myth. At Daikoku Welfare Academy-a boarding school where students are educated, guarded, and watched-Santa Claus is nothing more than a forgotten fairy tale. But for adults, Santa is a very real threat, hunted by the Saint Nick Pursuit Unit should he ever reappear. Shiori Fuyumura, a student at the academy, refuses to accept the official story that her best friend, Ichie Ono, is dead after vanishing six months ago. One morning, she calls in her fellow class representative, Kazushige Sanda, only to ambush him. She believes Sanda is the heir of the legendary Santa Claus-the only one who can grant her wish to find Ono-and she’ll stop at nothing to awaken his hidden power.
