Patalliro!

"Patarillo!" takes place in a world much like our own, with one key difference. Based on a popular manga for teenage girls in Japan, the story features a cast of gay men and attractive young men, or "bishounen." Most of the story unfolds in Marinera, a tropical island in the South Seas known for its eternal springtime. The country is a major diamond producer, and its valuable mines-owned by the short but well-endowed boy-king Patarillo-become the center of conflict. The International Diamond Syndicate, a powerful and shady group aiming to control the world's diamond supply, will do anything to seize the mine, including sending bishounen assassins after Patarillo. To protect himself, Patarillo enlists Major Jack Bancoran, an MI6 agent nicknamed "Bishounen-Killer"-not because he murders them, but because no teenage boy can resist his charm, much to Bancoran's annoyance. This includes Patarillo himself. The story jumps between Marinera, MI6’s futuristic London headquarters (oddly just a short flight from the South Seas),and Bancoran’s lavish suburban home. The adventure doesn’t stay grounded-it spans time, space, and even the cosmos, proving Patarillo gets into all kinds of trouble.
