In Edo-era Japan, where countless sword-fighting styles flourish, Shichika Yasuri practices the rarest of them all: Kyotouryuu, a style that turns the practitioner’s body into a living blade. As the seventh head of this mysterious school, Shichika lives a quiet life in exile with his sister Nanami-until the ambitious schemer Togame disrupts their solitude. She boldly asks Shichika to aid her in gathering the twelve "Deviant Blades," extraordinary swords meant for the shogunate. Though indifferent to politics, Shichika agrees, drawn more to Togame herself than her mission. Together, they embark on a journey fraught with danger, facing both the formidable wielders of these legendary swords and rival factions determined to stop Togame. To survive, the two must learn to trust each other as they navigate a treacherous path where every step could be their last.
