Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood

In 1931, the Tokugawa Shogunate still rules Japan, now in the 64th year of the Meiji era. By controlling the newly discovered "Dragon Vein," the government has ushered in a technologically advanced Edo period. To protect its power, the Shogunate relies on an elite group of executioners called "Nue," who oppose the rebel faction known as "Kuchinawa." Sawa Yukimura appears to be just the owner of the Tsuyukasa Bookshop, quietly managing its affairs. In truth, she is driven by revenge against the man who murdered her family and tribe. Blessed with a shapeshifting ability due to her blue blood, she joins Nue after they offer her crucial information about her target: Janome, the leader of the Kuchinawa.
