Fukuoka may seem like a peaceful city on the surface, but beneath it lies a hidden world of killers, detectives, and professional avengers. Among them is Zenji Banba, a relaxed yet sharp-eyed detective investigating rival hitmen organizations. But Banba isn’t the only one with a grudge-Xianming Lin, a crossdressing hitman working for one such company, grows increasingly frustrated with his lack of jobs and pay. When Lin’s latest target kills himself before the hit can be carried out, his employers refuse to pay him even half the promised fee. Angry, Lin demands another job and is assigned to eliminate Banba, whom his company suspects is meddling in their affairs. But when Banba comes home to find Lin waiting for him, the hitman doesn’t attack. Instead, he makes an unexpected offer: team up. With the proposal hanging between them, how will Banba react? And what exactly does Lin have planned for Fukuoka’s underworld?
