Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness

Ten years ago, Nagomu Irino left home chasing a dream that never came true. Now, hearing his father-owner of Kyoto’s traditional sweet shop Ryokushou-has been hospitalized, he returns, fearing the shop will have no heir if his father doesn’t recover. He braces himself to take up the family trade, only to find his father has already chosen a successor: Itsuka Yukihira, a ten-year-old girl abandoned at Ryokushou years ago. Though she’s become part of the family and the shop’s cheerful face, Itsuka still yearns to find her missing father. Nagomu’s mother, moved by Itsuka’s loneliness, asks him to step in as a father figure, hoping to ease her pain. At first, the two clash, but as they spend time together, they discover unexpected similarities. Bound by their love for Ryokushou and its sweets, their growing bond slowly makes life a little sweeter for everyone around them.
