What does it mean to be happy? High school student Ritsu Shikishima enjoys contemplating questions like this, spending his quiet days with friends while indulging his interest in psychology. But his peaceful life shatters when he hears a faint, staticky voice crying for help. The voice belongs to μ, a famous pop idol whose songs start warping reality. As her voice spreads, Ritsu watches in horror as the faces of his friends and family glitch and twist, transforming them into Digiheads-savage creatures hellbent on destroying anyone who realizes the truth about their world. Ritsu discovers he’s trapped inside Mobius, a virtual realm created by μ. Now, he must rally others who have awakened to reality before they’re wiped out.
