On Christmas Eve, four-year-old Miri Unasaka shows up in Tokyo alone, determined to find her father. Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa, two professional assassins, share a home while burying the scars of their painful pasts. When their mission goes wrong and they end up taking Miri in, the logical solution is simple: return her to her mother. But Miri’s bright laughter and unfiltered joy slowly break through Kazuki’s defenses, and even Rei, who keeps his emotions locked away, finds himself softening toward her. Miri’s boundless energy turns parenting into a challenge harder than any job they’ve faced.
