During a dog race, a ringmaster suddenly interrupts, fastening fish to the dogs' collars and forcing them to run in endless circles. The crowd grows furious, but the ringmaster argues that the spectators are no different from the dogs. Eventually, he is assassinated, and the race resumes as if nothing happened. Yet from his spilled blood, a single red rose emerges-perhaps a sign of truth in a world gone mad.
