In a near-future Japan where terrorism runs rampant and the police are nearly as ruthless as the criminals, a top-tier enforcer of the Special Security Force named Angel fights relentlessly for justice. Her latest case takes a dark turn when she and her partner, Raiden, investigate a string of brutal murders-each victim a known criminal, slaughtered in gruesome fashion. The killers, a trio of psychics called the Hunters, believe they’re purging the city of its worst filth. After several clashes, two of the psychics start questioning their methods, but the third embraces the bloodshed. Enhanced by unknown cybernetic upgrades, this rogue hunter turns their fury on the Special Security Force. With her partner now cyber-augmented after a tragic accident and the remaining Hunters as uneasy allies, Angel faces a daunting task: stopping the rogue psychic and uncovering the shadowy group behind the Hunters.
