Amatsuki

Tokidoki Rikugou despises history and fails his Japanese History class, forcing his high school to send him to a special museum lecture to make up for it. The highlight of the exhibit is a detailed recreation of the Edo Period, designed to improve his grades through an immersive simulation called the "Edo Bakumatsu Walking Tour and Exhibition." Clueless about samurai culture or the era he’s thrust into, he’s taken aback by the superstitious beliefs of 1600s Japan. Skeptical of gods and demons, he’s stunned when one attacks him on a bridge. A mysterious swordswoman named Kuchiha rescues him, but he soon realizes he’s trapped in the simulation with no way out. After encountering another stranded modern-day student, Kon Shinonome, Tokidoki begins adapting to his new surroundings. Now, he must help defend the village from demons while unraveling the secrets behind the simulation and the company responsible for it.
